Week Nine starts tonight! there are many close races at the 55 locations to find out which teams will earn automatic bids by winning the 10 week point total competition. There are also many locations who have some close contest to find out which teams will make the top 10 to qualify for championship week! Good Luck in Week Number Nine! Next week point totals will double for the final week!so everyone is still has a great chance heading into the final week of competition!

Big Foot Discovery a Hoax -- Duh!!!

Like we didn't already know this...... first clue for me was that if someone really found Big Foot why would you only take 1 picture?? 2nd if your in the woods were these things live....um don't go in those woods!! There are only a couple of reasons why if Big Foot existed he has never been discovered......reason #1 -- he kills everyone that sees him! and reason #2 he doesn't exist!

now if this had been real can you imagine what people would say........Al Sharpton would have probably thought the killing was reacially motivated. Alanis Morrissette would have said his killing is Ironic...Don't you think. Dick Cheney would have said that Big Foot was really a terrorist and that is why we have to bomb Iran. Dr. Phil would have said to Big Foot "how does that make you feel". Miley Cyrus would have cuddled up next the carcus naked and then had people take photos! Barrack Obama would have announced that Big Foot was his running mate and did speeches about the two of them bringing about change! John Edwards would have admitted he had a short affair with Big Foot and that he would take a paternity test but Big Foot did not want him to! Ann Coulter would have talked about how her Uncle Cletus had his fireworks stand destroyed by a Liberal Big Foot and how Liberals never want to see the truth and believe he was real. Angelina Jolie would have rushed to adopt Big Foot! but enough about that....to me it looked like one of the "serious" trivia players at The Westport Flea Market"!!!

Olympics ban performance enhancer!

O.K. so I am watching the Olympics this week when they have a segment on banned performance enhancers. Going into this Olympic games they decided to ban a performance enhancer made from deer penis. I think this is a great Idea! and you know who was really happy to hear about this? The Deer! but this got me to thinking even more in my warped mind....How did they find out this was a performance enhancer? Did somebody eat one and then found out they could run faster? and even more gross and thought provoking how many different animals did they try before coming up with the deer penis idea? I am by no means a genius but I am thinking if this works why not try road runner or Cheetah. If you are a swimmer like Michael Phelps would you have to use an animal that is from the water and do fish even have one??? anyway that is what has been keeping me up all night!

Chiefs begin new tradition a salute to how many fans are in the stands!

The Kansas City Chiefs have started a new NFL tradition! Last night for the first time in NFL history they had the players hold up their helmets for every fan in the stand in the 4th quarter! Steven "never been to a Chiefs game before" McBride was saluted with 3:35 seconds to go in the Chiefs 2nd preseason game. It was a touching moment. The Chiefs had an Undrafted Rookie hold up his helmet for the Salute. originally they were going to have one of their pro bowl defensive players do the honor and then they remembered they did not have one. Are the Chiefs truly going to rebuild with Brody Croyle, Somebody Thigpen, and Damon Huard....does Thigpen have a first name?? I always assume people are talking about the Charlie Brown cartoon when someone says his name.

On To Trivia!!!! -- Week #8 kicks off tonight with many close 10 week competition battles! also about half the locations have a lot of teams trying to get into the top 10 in scoring! definitely the closest battles in Xtreme Team Trivia history!

Chris Star "Guitar Hero" and his wife celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary tonight!

The party is on Tonight as Chris Star and his wife celebrate their 25th Wedding Anniversary Tonight! The party starts at 7pm at Tanner's on 87th. Food will be provided and DJ Flip who is the host of the show at Old Chicago in Overland Park and Paddy O'Quigley's in Lee's Summit will be spinning the music tonight including some of Starzy's favorites from Andy Kim, Rainmakers, Bryan Adams, Van Halen, Peter Hilleman, Jay Ferguson and of course some Billie Jean by Michael Jackson! DJ Flip will also be taking your request and playing all your favorites!
Chris Star works at Tanner's on 87th and is a part of the #1 ranked trivia team in the city The Tanner's Shananigans. for those of you that hang out a Tanner's you all know he is a world famous air guitar player!
the rest of our Xtreme Team Trivia players may know him from being the Bille jean Dancer at Xtreme Team Trivia Championship #5 who was almost tossed from the Voodoo Lounge by Harrah's Security for being on stage! And he made his encore performance at Xtreme Team Trivia Championship #6 with a performance pass to allow him on stage!

Flash Gordon Sucks!

Well just got through doing more work on gathering sound clips for Trivia and wrapped up my night with the Movie Flash Gordon. This has to be one of the worst movies of all time! first of all not a single good sound clip, which shouldn't come as a surprise since the acting was let's say a little below bad! The plot was amazing, scientist kidnaps a football player who plays for the New York Jets, takes him to some far off planet to try and save the earth! There were only two good things about the movie, the first was when Queen broke in with "He'll Save everyone of Us, Stands for everyone of us!" because then you knew the movie was almost over! and you can't use the song for trivia since it says Flash about 100 times!

The second good thing about the movie was Princes Aura, she was Fine!! hot, gorgeous, sexy and um kind of Good Looking in a 1980's Sci fi sort of way!

But she still cannot beat the hottest Sci-Fi Woman on the the planet From the Great TV show Buck Rogers.... Lt. Wilma (who cares what her last name is, no guy ever ask what a girl's last name is!) she had that gorgeous smile, Great hair...and the hottest form fitting outfit of all Time! the only thing you have to worry about is her taste in men.... she dated a guy who hung out with a mini robot....that had two different voices his and the thing that talked in the circle of the robot and Buck's best friend was like that dude that was like part human part Eagle. In Fact I think next week all female trivia players should honor actress Constance Moore and wear a similar outfit to Trivia! it could be worth bonus points!!!!!!

My Favorite Team took a 1000 point lead into last nights competition and now is in 2nd place behind Car Ramrod in the 10 week competition after they failed to get the wager question right. O.K so it was not really very intense and it was over free steaks from Harrah's and about 3 hours of Black Jack! The decision makers (Mike Shortino & The Big Dog) of Xtreme Team Trivia came to a decision that we will now allow the use of electronic devices 365 days a year!! Electronic Devices will now be allowed during Championship Week, Regional Finals and at the 4 Major Championships each year! so get ready to google, Call People, use your cell phones and Laptops and have more fun playing Xtreme Team Trivia than ever!
